Some say Il Pescatorio’s is one of the finest wine cellars in Rome. We can’t say whether that’s truly the case, but we can promise you that the wines and champagnes in our cellar are the result of meticulous work and an obsessive selection, made to give you the very best of the best.
Our bistrot’s wine list has a soul that’s always evolving. We’re driven by the desire to create a dialogue between land and sea, and that leads us to seek out the finest European producers with the same care and curiosity we’ve always devoted to preparing our dishes and selecting our raw ingredients. That’s why our wine cellar is, without doubt, one of the most curated and distinctive in Rome.
Our bottles are here to perfectly accompany our seafood dishes. We select them by carefully choosing the best pairings with the dishes our extraordinary chefs create. The world of wine here features a strong presence of Italian regions, long connected to the seas around them and to Mediterranean tradition. In our wine room we’ve also paid great attention to building a solid regional cellar, giving space to outstanding producers from Lazio, as locally sourced as possible. Alongside the wines of Italy sits a select list of fine foreign wines, from countries where certain producers have pursued a path devoted to excellence: France, Spain and Germany.
Il Pescatorio’s Bistrot is also a champagne bar, one of the few in Rome. At our tables you can enjoy labels from the great, renowned French maisons that made history — but here too there’s always room for discovery and exploration. Our passion for the cuvées of small producers, and for the land they work and protect in full respect of nature and product, has allowed us to build a champagne list featuring true rarities: sought-after, niche productions where genuine champagne lovers will find a real paradise.
What’s that? You want to know whether, beyond champagne, you can also find oysters at Il Pescatorio? Of course. A quality oyster bar can’t exist without a quality champagne bar. And vice versa.
